Updates should be pretty regular, perhaps even accompanied with pictures if I'm able, and I hope that the posts will be entertaining (and possibly informative on a good day). My friend and I will be quite busy gallivanting across the continent, but I'm sure there will be time for some blogging on the side.
To finish off this, the first entry, I'll map out the itinerary of the trip, just so everyone has an idea of where we're going during this adventure.

We land in London, England, stay there for a day, then fly to Istanbul (light grey line). After a few days in Turkey, we make our way across the top of Greece, passing through ThessalonÃki, and end up in Corfu. We'll spend four days lounging on Mediterranean beaches and seeing what the island has to offer, then hop on a ferry to Italy. Once we land in Bari we'll take a train to Florence (for three nights), then on to Venice (another three nights).
From Venice we go to Nice (one night), then Marseille for two nights (but we'll stop in Cannes in between and see if we can get in on some film festival action). The next destination is Barcelona, where we'll stay for a whole week before moving on to Lyon, then Geneva. Once we're in Switzerland we'll also stay in Neuchâtel, where I'll visit a close family friend. The final train ride will take us to Paris, where we'll stay for a week before (reluctantly) flying home again.
Whew. Just typing all that out makes me feel tired. I'd better get started on my packing though - we leave on Monday!
Au Revoir,
-J-

I saw pictures of my friend's French trip and so I'm so in the mood to see more pictures from Europe. I hope you can post some :) This is an amazing trip, and I love the name of your blog, even if you aren't literally typing posts while on a train. The idea of a train is romantic.
